The Threshold Module is the foundation of the nervX system. Housed within an engraved steel transit tin, each module is individually assembled using carefully selected tools, materials and components sourced from specialist manufacturers and suppliers.
Designed around compact capability and everyday practicality, Threshold delivers essential functionality within a durable pocket-sized format intended to accompany everyday carry, movement and utility.
Every Threshold Module includes a unique archival transit stamp selected from the nervX collection of historic postal and transport-era material, reinforcing the broader themes of movement, provenance and passage.

SYSTEM DETAILS
• Individually assembled and configured by hand
• Each module is fitted with a low-profile Atwood Rope Micro Cord retrieval loop, permanently secured with a Zeppelin bend knot. The trimmed and heat-sealed cord ends are enclosed beneath black heat-shrink for a compact, fixed finish. The loop provides a discreet finger purchase for quick removal from a pocket or pouch, while also serving as a compact hanging or retention point when needed.
• SOLAS reflective tape insert fitted beneath the transit tin lid to provide a highly conspicuous visual marker capable of producing a strong reflective flash in both daylight and low-light conditions
• Archival transit stamp preserved within an archival protective sleeve beneath the primary equipment layer
• Ivy Classic razor blade fitted with a custom nervX protective sheath for secure storage
• Duck Brand friction tape integrated within the module to retain the Continental Liberty pry bar and minimise movement during transport
• Emma Kites Technora® cordage configured primarily as a compact friction cutting tool. The heat-resistant Technora® fibres are capable of cutting through plastic restraints and similar materials using rapid reciprocating movement, while also serving as high-strength utility cordage when required.
• Beadalon WildFire® Ultra thread and John James Size 8 needle pairing for field repair and maintenance tasks
• John James Size 8 needle fitted with a custom heat-shrink protective sheath
• Victorinox® tweezers fitted with a custom heat-shrink retention sleeve
• High-visibility orange pull tab integrated beneath the lower McKesson adhesive bandage to provide intuitive access to the concealed lower compartment. The reinforced heat-shrink tip improves grip during use. When replenishing the lower adhesive bandage, the pull tab should be transferred to the replacement bandage to maintain the module’s original configuration.
• Gorilla Ultimate Tape supplied on a custom-cut ABS substrate to minimise bulk and preserve tape integrity during long-term storage
